2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Johnsonville Naturals Mild Italian Sausage 1 package
1 bell pepper, sliced ​​
1 red bell pepper, sliced ​​
2 sweet onion, sliced ​​
2 garlic, minced
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 (14.5 oz.) cubed canned tomatoes
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Add vegetable oil. Place in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sausage and brown on all sides. Remove the sausages from the skillet and set aside (note: there is no need to cook them at this point).
Add the onions and peppers to the remaining fat in the skillet and cook over medium heat until softened. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
Cut the sausage into 2.5-3.8cm cubes.
Return the sausage to the pot with all other ingredients.
Cook for 5 to 10 minutes, until the sausage is cooked through and the sauce thickens.
Serve on a hoagie roll if desired.
