Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

tablespoon white sugar

cup shortening

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
In
a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Cut in the shortening until the mixture resembles coarse flour. Add the milk a little at a time and mix until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl.

Place
on a floured surface and knead 15 to 20 times. Punch out or roll out the dough to 2.5cm thick. Cut out cookies using a large cookie cutter or a juice glass dipped in flour. Repeat until you run out of dough. Shake off excess flour and place cookies on an ungreased baking sheet.

in the preheated oven for 13 to 15 minutes or until edges begin to brown.
