Beef Stew Delight in a Bread Bowl
Instructions:
Prepare the beef. Place beef in a bowl and sprinkle with flour, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Grill the beef on all sides. Set aside.
Fry the aroma: In the same pan, add the chopped onion and chopped garlic. Fry until fragrant and onions become translucent.
Deglaze with wine: Pour in some red wine to deglaze the pot, scraping up any aromatic residue left at the bottom.
Add broth and tomatoes. Return the browned beef to the pot. Pour in the beef broth and add the diced tomatoes. Mix well. The magic of seasoning: Add the bay leaf, thyme, and rosemary, then add salt and pepper to taste. Simmer the stew over low heat for 1 to 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
Add vegetables to the mixture: add carrots and potatoes. Cook until the vegetables are soft but still retain their shape.
Serve: Serve this heartwarming stew in a bread bowl and enjoy its rich aroma and flavor. You can customize this recipe to your liking by adding more vegetables, different herbs, or a drizzle of Worcestershire sauce for added depth.
