Prime Rib Recipe
Ingredients
1 Prime Rib Roast, 5.75 lbs (2 bones)
No measurements here. Add only the following ingredients generously:
room temperature butter
Herbs de Provence
fresh bell peppers
kosher salt – generous amount

Directions
Preheat oven to 500 degrees Fahrenheit (This must be accurate). Temperature)
Place the roast beef, rib side down, in the roasting pan.
Add the pepper and herbs to the butter and stir until everything is well mixed.
Brush the top of the prime rib with the butter mixture. The more the better.
Spread coarse salt over the entire surface of the butter. Please be very generous. Use it here more than you think. Most of the salt will run off and very little will remain on the meat. I can’t stress enough your generosity.
Place the roast in the oven at 500° for 30 minutes as shown in step 1. The time depends on the size of the roast. After 30 minutes, turn off the oven and let rise for 2 hours. Yes, please go. Do not open doors or other objects or tamper with them. Imagine not having a grill.
After 2 hours, remove the roast, cut into pieces and serve. Removing the ribs makes them easier to cut, and it’s even easier to remove the four hearty pieces from the roast. Save the bones!
