Herb-Crusted Ribeye Steak
Ingredients:
– 1 rib-eye steak, approximately 1/2 inch thick
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 2 garlic cloves, minced
– 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
– tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped 1 cup
– Add salt and pepper to taste
– 1/2 cup red wine
– 1 tablespoon butter
Herb-Crusted Ribeye Steak
Preparation:
1. Preheat grill (or pan) to high heat.
2. Combine olive oil, garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Rub this mixture all over the ribeye steak.
3. Place steak on the grill (or skillet) and cook until medium-rare or desired doneness, about 4 to 5 minutes per side.
4. Let the steak rest for 10 minutes.
5. For red wine reduction: Add red wine to the same pot and simmer over low heat until reduced by half. Add the butter and stir until the sauce thickens.
6. Cut the steak into slices and pour the red wine reduction over them.
