French onion savoury mince
Instructions:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced meat and fry until brown. Break up the meat with a spoon while cooking.
Once the meat is browned, remove excess fat from the skillet.
Add the sliced onions to the pan and sauté over medium heat until soft and caramelized, about 10 to 15 minutes. Add the minced garlic and sauté for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Sprinkle the flour over the meat and onion mixture and mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes to remove the raw smell of flour.
Gradually add the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and dried thyme to the pot, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until mixture thickens and flavors meld, about 10 to 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Enjoy flavorful chopped French onions over mashed potatoes or rice.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired
