French Apple Cake
Ingredients:
1 apple
juice of lemon
1 sugar
1 tablespoon butter
cinnamon
1 pinch 1 tablespoon apricot jam
vanilla sugar 120 ml oil
150 ml milk
250 g flour
16 g baking powder
powdered sugar (For decoration)
French Apple Cake
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Peel the apple and cut into thin wedges. Mix apple slices with lemon juice, sugar and cinnamon.
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add apple slices and cook until softened, about 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
Place the eggs in a mixing bowl, add the sugar, salt, and vanilla sugar and mix until creamy.
Gradually add oil and milk to egg mixture, stirring constantly.
Sift the flour and baking powder and mix until smooth.
Grease a baking dish with oil and pour half the batter into it.
Spread the cooked apple slices evenly over the dough.
Pour the apricot jam over the apples.
Pour the remaining batter over the apples and distribute evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 to 35 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let cool slightly and sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
