Smoked Chicken Wings

material:

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 tablespoon bell pepper
  • Garlic powder 1 tablespoon
  • Onion powder 1 tablespoon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce

Instructions:

Preheat grill for indirect heating. A cold side and a hot side must be set.
Combine the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper in a small bowl and mix.
Place the chicken wings in a large bowl and sprinkle the spice mix over them.
Place chicken wings on cold side of grill and smoke for 1 hour or until cooked and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). In a small bowl, combine melted butter and hot sauce.
Brush the chicken wings with the butter mixture and place them on the hot side of the grill. Grill wings for an additional 5 to 10 minutes or until crisp and caramelized.
Remove wings from the grill and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces and garnishes.
