4 large green tomatoes
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
1/2 cup bread crumbs
2 tsp coarse kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 liter vegetable oil for frying

Cut tomatoes into 1/2-inch thick slices. Discard the ends.

Whisk together eggs and milk in a medium bowl. Place flour on a plate. Combine cornmeal, bread crumbs, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl. Dust the tomatoes with flour and coat. Then dip the tomatoes into the milk and egg mixture. Dust with bread crumbs until completely covered.

Pour vegetable oil into a large skillet (about 1/2 inch of oil remains in pan) and heat over medium heat. Add 4-5 tomatoes, depending on the size of the pan. Do not squeeze tomatoes. Please do not touch it. When the tomato is browned, turn it over and cook the other side. Drain on paper towels.
