1 (8 oz) container of frozen whipping cream, thawed shredded
almonds, garnish as desired (toast, optional)
Heaven on Earth Cake
Preparation:
Step 1: Cut the angel cake into bite size pieces.
Step 2: Combine pudding mix and cold milk in a large bowl, add Greek yogurt and mix until smooth.
Step 3: Spread 1/2 pie cube evenly into a 9 x 13 inch baking dish and top 2/3 with cherry pie filling.
Step 4: Place the remaining cake cubes on top and pour the custard mixture over the cake, spreading gently in an even layer.
Step 5: Using a rubber spatula or offset spatula, spread frozen whipped cream over custard layer, pour remaining cherry pie filling over custard and sprinkle with sliced almonds.
Step 6: Place the casserole dish in the refrigerator for 3 more hours or overnight.
